COD YMDDYGIAD, DISGYBLAETH A GOFAL BUGEILIOL
Mae pob plentyn yn cael ei roi yng ngofal athro arbennig, ond mae’r holl staff yn ceisio cymryd gofal am les yr holl ddisgyblion. Mae athro ar ddyletswydd ar y buarth ddeng munud cyn cychwyn y diwrnod ysgol ac am gyfnod tebyg ar ddiwedd y diwrnod ysgol. Mae amser chwarae yn cael ei oruchwylio gan athrawon ac mae goruchwiliaeth amser cinio o dan cyfrifoldeb ein goruchwyliwr canol dydd. Mae’r ysgol yn annog disgyblion i fod yn hunan ddisgybledig ac i barchu eraill. Er mwyn cyflawni disgyblaeth dda a dysgu ymddygiad derbyniol a chod ymddygiad, mae’n bwysig bod nod clir a bod pawb dan sylw athrawon, disgyblion, llywodraethwyr a staff anaddysgol yn barod i gyflawni’r nod. Ein prif nod yw creu cymdeithas sensitif ble mae pawb yn teimlo’n aelod gwerthfawr. Mae’r ysgol yn ceisio cyflawni hyn trwy: •greu awyrgylch gadarnhaol •gosod esiampl dda •dangos parch •cydnabod ymddygiad da a chyfraniadau cadarnhaol •creu ymdeimlad o ddiogelwch •sefydlu dulliau da o gyfathrebu rhwng yr ysgol a’r cartref. Mae’r ysgol wedi sefydlu ‘cod ymddygiad disgybl’. Mae disgyblion sy’n ymddwyn yn dda yn cael sticer neu gerdyn gwyrdd. Mae disgyblion sy’n camymddwyn yn cael rhybudd llafar i gychwyn, ac yna cerdyn melyn yn y cam nesaf, a phe bai ymddygiad drwg yn parhau, bydd cerdyn coch yn cael ei roi. Mae gan yr ysgol bolisi disgyblu a bwlio. Mae’r ysgol yn hyrwyddo ymddygiad cadarnhaol. Bydd rhieni’n cael eu hysbysu os oes achosion parhaus o ymddygiad drwg neu fwlio, ac os bydd angen, efallai y bydd asiantau allanol yn ymwneud â’r mater.

CODE OF CONDUCT, DISCIPLINE AND PASTORAL CARE
Every child is placed in the care of a particular teacher, but the whole staff endeavour to take care of the well-being of all pupils.Our behaviour code can only be used as a guide as there are some instances where other strategies may need to be adopted. A teacher is on yard duty for ten minutes before the start of the school session and for a similar period at the end of the school day. Playtimes are supervised by a teacher and the dinner break is the responsibility of our mid-day supervisors This school encourages children to be self-disciplined and to respect others. To achieve good discipline and to learn acceptable behaviour and codes of conduct, it is important that there is a clear aim and that all concerned – teachers, pupils, parents, governors and non-teaching staff – enter readily into achieving this aim. Our main aim is to create a sense of community where each person feels a valued member. The school tries to achieve this by: · creating a positive atmosphere · setting a good example · establishing mutual respect · recognising good behaviour and positive contributions · producing a sense of security · establishing good lines of communication between school and home. The school has adopted a ‘pupil code of conduct’. Pupils who are well behaved are rewarded with a green sticker or card. Pupils who initially misbehave are given a verbal warning, followed by the next stage which is a ‘yellow card’, and should the bad behaviour continue then a red card will be issued. The school has a policy on discipline and bullying. The school promotes positive behaviour. If there are continued instances of bad behaviour or bullying, parents will be informed and if necessary outside agencies may be involved.
